About PhilHouse

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Los Angeles, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.

Its Google rating stands at 3.4 out of 5 from 24 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

First and last ever experience at this spot. The food is terrible. If you are ever hungry and have 50 bucks to spend go to a decent restaurant where you can order food that can be digested and tastes like food. Nothing here tasted good or was worth the price. Overcooked and over fried and just plain disgusting. Not to mention that it is expensive which is a complete rip-off for low quality food if this can be called food at all. Had to throw away everything because I don't want to poison my dog with this.

Food was good. Pork estofado is the best. But their system is kinda chaotic the labels for the food dont match the food it is on. Or sometimes the food doesn’t have label/name on it so you would have to guess or point the food out to the server which is inconvenient if there is a long line. Please put names on the individual food.

The food is good but their portions are trash. Bagnet house gives you way more portions for the same price. A small container or the kinilaw swai is 10.50 which is like 5 bites. I can't in good conscience give this place more. The other location is a 5 but this place is cheap, stingy, and expensive. Their spaghetti was REALLY πŸ”₯ though

Phil House located at 4641 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90029 is definitely a must-visit spot! They offer a wide selection of delicious Filipino food at very affordable prices. The place has plenty of tables and chairs, making it comfortable for both small groups and families to dine in. Their pork BBQ is a standoutβ€”so delicious, tender, and packed with flavor! If you’re craving authentic Filipino dishes or just want a satisfying meal without breaking the bank, Phil House is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I went to the Philippines. I loved the tropical atmosphere there. Okay, it's near the equator, but not that tropical. Angeles Bay is more tropical, but that's another story. The Filipino cuisine didn't leave me much impression. Most food I had in the Philippines was western fast food or Chinese food in Chinatown. I still remember a fried chicken restaurant called Max's. Later on, I came to Los Angeles. There are so many varieties here. I do dining and cooking a lot, mostly Asian cuisine. I cook Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, even Indian, but not really into Filipino and Indonesian. So, Filipino cuisine is still very interesting and not that familiar to me. I know some Filipino cuisine like adobo, slow stewed in brown vinegar sauce, just because the name is similar to the famous Adobe. I didn't even know the meaning of Adobe until now. I visited all the Asian grocery stores in Greater Los Angeles. I also went to Filipino markets, Pacific Island or Seafood City. I bought prepackaged frozen Rellenong Bangus, which is stuffed milkfish, and I also cooked adobo for myself. I had a very good experience at PhilHouse@Pacific Island in Rancho Cucamonga.
